Enough Creative was started because the work kept outgrowing the job title. Our founder had already been the artist, the creative director inside someone else’s world, the guy building whole divisions from scratch — so eventually he built something that could hold all of it, and keep evolving right alongside the work.

We help some of the most recognizable people and brands out there tell their stories even better. Our work’s reached audiences in the billions across pretty much every market that matters — for artists like The Weeknd and Troye Sivan, and partners like Apple Music, Spotify, Netflix, and Mercedes-Benz.

Our Narrative Consulting practice helps the people building the coolest brands and companies find their story again — through an excavation of what they’re actually about, and who they really are underneath the deck. We’ve helped reshape stories as companies worked toward their next raise, a rebrand, or a new position in a market that already shifted underneath them.

Most recently, we’ve been building the visual language and experience behind touring and album-cycle campaigns for Sombr and Damiano David — plus getting back in the studio with longtime collaborator Nelly Furtado. That’s meant everything from live shows to public appearances to full multimedia rollouts, with teams sized to match whatever each project — and territory — calls for.

Before that, we spent a year as interim Group Creative Director for Branded Entertainment at STEPT Studios, utilizing Enough Creative in building out the internal creative department and helping to stand up a new division from the ground up.

In 2018, we co-founded HXOUSE, the Toronto-based creative entrepreneurship platform. We ran creative and production for the launch — live performances, dinners, talks, custom art — and the livestream pulled in 6 million views in under 48 hours, with 4,000+ people showing up in person that weekend. The NO MORE DREAMS curriculum that came out of it has put over 1,000 young creatives through skills-building programming since.

LibraryLab | Westbank

LibraryLab was an experimental philanthropic venture we founded in partnership with global luxury property developer Westbank, built around a simple idea: that giving back to a city should be as intentional as building in it. JJ brokered the founding partnership and architected the concept from the ground up; the studio then built the team and brand that carried it to launch — strategy led by Sydney Allen-Ash, who also developed the copywriting, the website built by 56, and the visual identity created by Joanie Brisebois.

LibraryLab existed to drive meaningful community investment and storytelling in support of its shared mission with Westbank to build more beautiful and equitable cities. This brand positioning was informed by countless hours of research about urban planning, placemaking, and the relationships we form with each other and the places we live in.

With this as our vision, we developed an innovative philanthropic program that awarded substantial grants to three emerging filmmakers in Toronto. The open-ended prompt to the filmmakers was for them to tell a meaningful human story about the relationship between people and place.

With the support of LibraryLab grants three emerging filmmakers were able to create beautiful films that showcased unique stories about Torontonians and their connections to the city. The rights to the films are completely owned by the filmmakers and some have since gone on to show in internationally recognized film festivals.

HXOUSE | Toronto

HXOUSE is a Toronto-based, globally focused creative think-center — an incubator and accelerator built to give creative entrepreneurs access to the networks and opportunities too often gated by economic background. As Creative Director, JJ helped shape the platform from concept to a 30,000-square-foot home inside Artscape Daniels Launchpad, developed in partnership with George Brown College and OCAD University.

We led creative and deployment for the launch — live performances, dinners, talks, and custom art installations — with the livestream from launch weekend reaching 6 million unique views in under 48 hours, and more than 4,000 people attending in person. From there, HXOUSE grew a roster of multi-year, purpose-driven corporate partnerships — including Twitter, Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz, Remy Martin, and Harvard — with reach and pledged funding growing quarter over quarter.

Rather than a traditional classroom model, HXOUSE runs on cross-disciplinary mentorship — pairing emerging creatives with working professionals across music, fashion, design, and film, and hosting public conversations (IN-HXOUSE) with figures including Bella Hadid, Swizz Beatz, Jen Rubio, Halsey, The Safdie Brothers and Boi-1da. HXOUSE also did intensive deep-dives with luminary figures in the world of design including Es Devlin and Matthew Williams. In 2020, as the pandemic shut down live events industry-wide, we helped lead HXOUSE's partnership with the City of Toronto on a relief fund for local artists left without income — extending the platform's mission from mentorship into direct community support. The NO MORE DREAMS curriculum that grew out of all of this has since put over 1,000 young creatives through skills-building programming.

Artists

Sombr | Setting The Stage

In the spring of 2025, Sombr's team approached us to get him ready for his first TV late-night performance — and to introduce him to the world as a front man. That meant helping him find how to hold space on stage, keep focus, and build a look - from movement, to styling, to stage design. We helped to create the character, drawing on references shared between ourselves and the artists to define the styling and presence. From the start, the goal was a full setup built around movement and focus — something he could fully inhabit and work the stage, with an element that was entirely his own. Something so iconic he would grow into it.

After a series of creative calls with production designer Wesley Goodrich, we landed on what would become his now-signature mic stand. We took cues from his fans and their love for his thrash-outs, and joined the conversation with one question: what if he couldn't thrash out fully, no matter how hard he tried?

The final design drew on sculptural forms and the playful physics of a Weeble wobble toy — a stand that could thrash, sway, and absorb movement without ever tipping over, without ever fully losing control. We brought on an incredible movement director - and honed his stage presence, utilizing our sculptural piece to influence and show how different positions and ways of moving through the space would show up on camera and to an audience.

Since then, the mic stand has traveled the world on tour and appeared on stages from the Grammys and SNL to Jimmy Fallon and Coachella. Sombr is a star, with the true essence of rockstars before him. We gave him a dance partner, a lover, a repeatable asset fans love — and the foundation of an entire persona we have brought back again and again.

Damiano David | A New Chapter

Sometimes an artist has already made a mark, a splash, an explosion — and it's still not the full expression of who they are. Damiano David was already the lead singer of the wildly popular rock band Måneskin when we were brought in to help him transition to his own solo project.

That meant tapping into a version of himself the world hadn't seen yet, and building it a fully fleshed-out world to live in and explore — something new, something he and his fans could get excited about.

We went to work building a new character: a new visual identity, movement, color space, and approach. Working alongside Damiano and his team, we helped bring an entirely new version of him to the world — by celebrating what was already inside him. We then brought this version to markets that were less familiar with him - but who fell in love with him immediately.

It took shape alongside his debut record, Funny Little Fears (which we worked on conceptually), and his first solo run, the Funny Little Fears World Tour. Millions of views and many sold-out shows later, Damiano David is very much himself. We're proud of that.

The Weeknd | My Dear Melancholy

The Weeknd was already a global superstar when he decided to step back and strip things down — making a record fast, without the large-scale machinery of the one before it. We jumped in to build the world around him and keep pace. Helping to craft the world around the music being made.

Part of that meant turning the camera on his process in the studio - the first time such access was given. We knew it couldn't be just another documentary, it had to exist inside the world of The Weeknd. That took shape as He Was Never There.

Using set design, analogue video, and practical effects, we physically altered the environments he was working in — turning documentation into a surreal journey through one of the greatest artistic minds of our generation.

We partnered with Spotify on exclusive first of their kind vertical music videos, with YouTube for a new form of storytelling we coined the "Docupoem," and with Apple Music on Another You, a three-part live-to-film lead-up to The Weeknd's 2018 Coachella headline set — radical approaches to documentation that took the industry by storm.

The EP - with album photography and design by us - that came out of the process, My Dear Melancholy, debuted at No. 1 and became a cult favorite in his discography — a true testament to living in the moment.

Nelly Furtado| 2008 - 2026

Our collaboration with Nelly Furtado stretches back almost 20 years — in constant conversation, artist to artist, both still growing. It started around her debut Spanish-language album, Mi Plan, which won Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the 2010 Latin Grammys, and it's carried all the way through to 7, her 2024 album — a pop reinvention four years in the making. The thread the whole way through: keep pushing, keep finding something new.

We joined Nelly again as she started recording "7", and stayed on for the whole ride — sounding board and collaborator at once, from the first sessions through to release.

That's the thing about learning from people who keep teaching you: it's reason enough to keep making new work. Live performances, social, music videos, mini-documentaries — the journey is the destination.
